Demetri J. Economou

Biography

Demetri Economou is a certified mediator and co-chairs the Energy, Oil & Gas Practice Group at Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC. He focuses on high-stakes commercial litigation, primarily serving clients in the energy industry.

Demetri provides trusted advice to KRCL's upstream, midstream, and oilfield services clients. His practice regularly includes royalty litigation, lease and deed interpretation, operational disputes, surface use cases, and midstream and services contracts disputes. He and the KRCL energy team regularly speak on cutting-edge energy law issues throughout the nation.

Demetri is a certified mediator and received his training at the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution at The University of Texas School of Law. His practice and training make him uniquely qualified to mediate complex energy disputes.

He has been selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the past seven years, 2017–2023.

Demetri received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
